The conference
will take place in the Golden Sands resort north of Varna, which is a nice city
on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The city and its surroundings is a popular
vacation destination. The first residents of Varna region were from a very old,
over 10000 years old civilization. The city, called Odessus, was founded by
Greek colonists on the site of Varna in the 6th century BC. In the 1st century
AD the settlement became a Roman possession. It was ruled by the Byzantines,
Bulgarians, and Ottoman Turks during the Middle Ages.
From
various parts of Europe Varna can be reached via Varna International Airport,
Railways, or bus services.
